The YMCA is the largest volunteer agency in the world, as some 400,000 individuals are involved with
the YMCA as they share their talents with others. Volunteers are always needed at the Pittsburg
Family YMCA. Some 400 people, some as young as 12 years of age, volunteer at the Pittsburg YMCA. if
you would like to volunteer your time in child care, office work, maintenance, fitness area, or as a
youth sports coach, just call the YMCA. We even use young people as swimming aids or junior
counselors in our Adventure Camp. This is a great way to get involved as a volunteer.
Each year the YMCA has it's Annual Dinner in March and one of the highlights of the evening is the
announcement of the Volunteer of the Year and the Coach of the Year.
